Where is BICS? How do I get there?

Brooklyn Independent Comics Showcase takes place in Courtyard 5/6 of Industry City in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. You can navigate to St. Mark’s Comics at 51 35th Street and we’ll be right outside!

The nearest trains are the D, N, and R at 36th St station. The nearest available buses are the B35, B37, and the B70.

Parking is available on Second Ave, between 36th St and 39th St, but may fill quickly on the day of the event.

How much does it cost to attend BICS?

BICS is free and open to the public for attendees. There is no pre-registration or ticket required to attend BICS and shop!

If you are a creator interested in showcasing your work, you will have to apply for a table and, upon acceptance, pay the tabling fee. It is $100 if you take advantage of our Earlybird Discount, and $125 if you pay after the Earlybird deadline.

How do I sign up for a table?

Applications to table at BICS open on Monday, January 8th. You can apply to table here.

We usually receive more applications than we have tables, so we encourage you to apply early if you are interested!

Isn’t BICS an outdoor event? What happens if the weather is bad?

BICS is an outdoor event that takes place in Courtyard 5/6 of Industry City in Brooklyn.

If weather is does not allow for our usual outdoor venue, we have a rain space that we will utilize that’s just next door to Courtyard 5/6. That means it’s business as usual, no matter the weather! Our Event Directors will decide in the morning on the day-of if we will move the event indoors or not.

Can I buy a table to sell back issues from my personal collection?

The mission of BICS is to provide a venue for small, independent creators to showcase their comics, zines, illustrations, merch, and so on. Thus, our creator tables are reserved for work of that nature! Any applications from resellers will not be accepted.
